NORC at the University of Chicago is an objective, nonpartisan research organization that delivers insights and analysis decision-makers trust. NORC has been a pioneer in social science and data science research for more than 80 years. American Statistical Association (Asa)
The American Statistical Association is the world’s largest community of statisticians, the “Big Tent for Statistics.” It is the second-oldest, continuously operating professional association in the country. Since it was founded in Boston in 1839, the ASA has supported excellence in the development, application, and dissemination of statistical science.
Asa Committee on International Relations in Statistics (Cirs)
A multi-disciplinary team of statisticians and data scientists from around the world who are leading shared initiatives with the goal of linking statistical professionals, societies, and other organizations. Committee members team up on various new initiatives, while also working synergistically with other committees, initiatives, activities within the ASA.
Washington Statistical Society (Wss)
The Washington Statistical Society (WSS) is a professional organization focused on promoting the use and development of statistics in the Washington, D.C. area. Established in 1896, the WSS is a regional chapter of the American Statistical Association (ASA). It serves statisticians, data scientists, and researchers across various fields, including government agencies, academia, private industry, and non-profit organizations.
Statistics Without Borders (Swb)
SWB provides pro bono statistical and data science services. We work to improve human welfare by providing empirical knowledge using proper applications of statistical principles and best practices so that our clients can make more informed decisions. We focus on areas where access to such resources is limited.
Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (Jedi) Outreach Group
A community of statisticians and data scientists committed to communication, programming, and professional development to advance and support a society that values all people. JEDI is an outreach group of the ASA.
